Another Major XRP Price Glitch on Uphold

XRP Community Flags Potential Uphold Exchange Glitch

The XRP community has flagged a potential glitch on the Uphold exchange, where users noticed a significant price drop for XRP that was not seen on other major trading platforms. This issue was highlighted by Micah (@MicahPW20), who shared screenshots showing the discrepancy. While other exchanges showed XRP at around $0.4762, Uphold had it drop from $0.47558 to $0.46227, a 2.64% decline.
The XRP price has not fallen below $0.47 since June 27, according to CoinMarketCap, and was trading at $0.4772 at press time. The discrepancy is puzzling, especially given Uphold’s partnership with Ripple and its significant XRP reserves.
Possible explanations for the anomaly include temporary liquidity issues or a platform-specific glitch. A large sell order with insufficient buy orders on Uphold could cause a temporary dip. However, Uphold’s substantial XRP reserves cast doubt on the low-liquidity theory. Some users have reported similar issues with other assets on Uphold, and one user claimed to have previously bought XRP at reduced prices due to such glitches.
