Financial Education Tour by Bitnob and Tether Transforms Ghanaian Universities

From May 11th to 18th, Bitnob, a leading African financial technology platform, partnered with Tether Operations Limited, a renowned digital asset entity, to conduct a financial education tour across universities in Ghana. This initiative aimed to equip students with essential financial knowledge and digital finance skills, attracting over 2800 attendees from the University of Health and Allied Sciences, the University of Ghana, and the University of Cape Coast.
The tour featured engaging activities, educational sessions on topics like the evolution of money, Bitcoin’s impact, and entrepreneurship. Prominent speakers, including Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, addressed the students, focusing on the practical applications of USDt, a stablecoin. Students also received hands-on demonstrations of the Bitnob app for saving Bitcoin and making global payments.
The events included games, competitions, and meals, making the learning experience enjoyable. This tour significantly boosted financial literacy among Ghanaian students, providing them with valuable insights into digital currencies and investment strategies.
