CoinDesk, an award-winning media outlet specializing in cryptocurrency coverage, has been acquired by Bullish, a regulated digital assets exchange, in November 2023. Bullish is primarily owned by Block.one, a company with diverse interests in blockchain and digital asset businesses, including substantial bitcoin holdings. Despite the acquisition, CoinDesk will continue to function as an independent subsidiary, maintaining its journalistic integrity through an editorial committee. CoinDesk employees, including journalists, may receive options in the Bullish group as part of their compensation.
