Cryptocurrency Adoption Set to Surpass One Billion Users by 2026
The global adoption of cryptocurrency is projected to exceed one billion users as early as 2026, according to industry experts. Pavlo Denysiuk, CEO of the Lunu crypto payments firm, predicts that the number of cryptocurrency holders could triple within the next two years, driven by current growth trends. Speaking at NFT Fest 2024, Denysiuk emphasized that increased adoption would also influence payment methods globally. The 2024 Cryptocurrency Ownership report by Triple-A estimates there are currently 560 million crypto holders worldwide, accounting for approximately 6.8% of the global population.
